This vile act violates our first amendment rights, as well as the fair use of copyright. I also found out that they're out to stop piracy with this act. Well, whoop-de-doo! What's that going to accomplish? Pirates weren't exactly obeying the laws before. So, why would they start, now? It's just like when our right to bear arms was denied. Law-abiding citizens obeyed, because, they didn't want to go to jail. However, as little as common thieves didn't care. In fact, they liked it. To them, it just meant that their victims had no way of defending themselves. When this was declared unconstitutional, common citizens had their guns back. Once they had their guns back, criminal activity dropped dramatically.
Now, it's happening again. As if trying to make the internet like a cable package where you could only access certain websites wasn't bad enough. This is the equivalent of someone being hunted down by the FBI, just because, they happened to mention "Half-Life" to their buddy at the cafeteria table. Every jail on the planet would be full in a day, while criminals are left with nowhere to go but their next bank to rob.
Making it illegal to mention on show pictures or anything of the sort that's copyrighted on the internet. This is foolswork.
Time to bring the truth to the light!
